Coffee Lover's Bloghop

To start off with my first for this Spring + Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop, I chose Newton's Cuppa Cactus which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo black using my MISTI tool. I used Strathmore plain cardstock ATC paper. I then colored using my Copic Markers: YG63, YG67, YG21, RV29, RV14, RV13, E50, E53, W1, W3 which all matched the Basic Grey pattern papers I had chosen. This collection is called South Pacific and the flower paper is Tahiti. Then Nuvo Crystal Drops in black were added to have a finished look.
The front panel was then glued down using the BG papers onto a folded 4.5" x 5.25" card made of a bright green cardstock.
I fussy cut the flower and leaf and added them under my ATC piece for some interest.

Don't forget that today the Spring + Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop starts! My card is #86 if you are looking for it!

Craft Fantastic Jewelry from Scrapbook Expo Orlando

Hey ladies, I had the awesome opportunity to go to the local Scrapbook Expo Orlando here in town a few weeks ago.  I had attended both days and on going the second day, arrived at the Craft Fantastic booth to do their Make & Take and found that they are selling, ONLY ON Saturday for ours, this fantastic collection of pieces worth $30 for only $15!! I had purchased the day before and was so amazed at the value of this that I bought it! These are just some of the pieces I made. The Rose images were taken from their Mexican Roses images which the nice lady let me take from the M&T images since she was out of the sheet of images at her booth. The second image is from a sheet also given to me and was used on their double sided butterfly necklace that was not apart of the value bag. Here are more pictures of the bag's contents:
Look at that owl alone!!! I made the earrings immediately and used the images there since I couldn't find the sheet to buy. Here are the jewelry pieces in various colors, but the key ring pieces I did get separately and they were not apart of the bag. This also came with the glass domes for each.
I learned that if you want to remove a piece of paper you have just glued down, to put it under running water and wash with dawn if needed, to remove the paper completely. Then dry it and begin again. Amazing how much we learn when we make mistakes!!! Loads of fun to play with these fun pieces!
You can find shopping pieces online here at Craft Fantastic Kit of the month or Craft Fantastic
I am not paid for this article but thought you would like to know this fun company.

Altenew Painted Flowers with Favorite Scripty Word

May 2018 Altenew Challenge
Altenew has so many beautiful flowers and this is one of my favorites!!! It's Painted Flowers Stamp set which has many layers. The Super Script Scrapbook Stamp set and die were also my newest buy! So I thought I would play along with their May 2018 Challenge which is a color challenge of Pink, Aqua, and Teal.
Using my Misti tool, I stamped clusters of the muli-step flowers staying with the color theme. First layers were stamped with Versa Mark ink and embossed with gold. I used the Pink, and Agua and Teal inks for the flowers. I then cut them out and rearranged them on another piece of the same 80 lb Neenah cardstock till I liked it. I ultimately wanted different depths and heights with the flowers and the die cut word. I then stamped the word "favorite" in the center using the teal ink, and die cut it afterward with my Platinum 6 machine. Carefully I replaced the die cut "favorite" word inside the card and glued it down. I added one more pink blossom on the inside and then added matching sequins in Pink Cotton Candy and Seaside Breeze from Kennedy Grace Creations.
Hope you enjoy my card for the challenge and you may want to play along yourself.

Dusty Attic Fancy Frames Budapest Layout

I really centered this layout around the gorgeous goodies from Dusty Attic in Australia. These included Fancy Frames #5; Wordpl@y #2 in black; and Memories title. I painted with Liquitex clear Gesso, and then with Plaid FolkArt in Gold. Wish I could get their Gesso but couldn't find it at my local store. Shucks!!!! Also used Canvas Corp Tattered Angels Turquoise Spray in Dragonfly for the Memories piece. Was the perfect shade!

Photo Details: These beautiful pictures are of the fabulous streets in Budapest that we walked all in one day/morning. The Gabor statue on the left page is one of their heroes that was a linguist. Beautiful work throughout the city but this is just some of them! The right page has St.Stephen's Cathedral, and other statues. It was a cold December morning with a clear blue sky! Great fun and walk!

Here's how I made this:
Using an EK Success retractable blade, I cut out the corset from the Bo Bunny Somewhere in Time Chrononaut paper. I used 2 of these sheets and saved the 2nd corset for another layout. ;)
After adhering a scrap of cardstock where I had removed it, I then used pop ups to add the dimension. Before placing it down, I added Ranger Gold Glitter stickles along the black lines. I also used liquid glue to adhere the string of pearls to the bottom. Also, tucked a piece of lace under the bottom edge as well. What fun is this gorgeous piece of paper!!!! Used Bo Bunny Memento from the same collection and a sticker as well.
I used scraps of a Bazzill Cardstock in two shades of green turquoise and black to mat the pics using my 12" trimmer.
I arranged all of the items until I liked it, and then started putting the tag together. Loved playing with the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Game Spinners as well the clock faces. What fun!
I glued all down with Beacons 3 in 1 and it won't be moving.

Pinkfresh Studio Card Re-do

Here's a card that started out "cute" using hte Pinkfresh Studio Say it with Florals and die set. Then I did what I hate to do, and got ink all over the bottom of the front as well as a few dots around the flowers. The more I tried not to, the more I got ink on other edges. So instead of throwing away the whole thing, I started trying to use an eraser and a white gel pen to hide the small marks. Do you ever thing that you are the only one that does this? Absolutely not true! We ALL do this. First, I tried alcohol remover, eraser and a white gel pen each, to remover some of the black ink but still didn't like the coverage. Well, as luck had it, I received "happy mail" from my recent order from Altenew company with a Altenew Creative Edges: Lace Die. I pulled it out and used a scrap of paper that just seemed to match...... and viola'! I layered it till I had covered all the marks and then used Tonic Studios Nuvo Jewel drops in Transparent Strawberry Coulis drops adding them freely around the images.
Other Supplies: Mommy Lhey inks in Paradise, and Bliss for the flowers and leaves. Pink Parchment paper by Recollections; Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. Neenah White 80 lb. cardstock.
Well, I hope that you enjoy my "do over" card that came out even more feminine and cute than I had intended it to be.

Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Winter layout of Passau, Germany

I just loved the color match of the photos with the Bo Bunny Winter Wishes collection. These papers have white on white with more Grays and Beige. The patterns themselves are so beautiful,  This layout is of St.Stephen's Church in Passau, Germany which we toured with a guide in on our recent trip with the Romantic Danube Viking River Cruise.
Details of the layout: First, I printed the photos smaller in order to fit so many of them on my double page layout. 7 printed at 3"x 5" and then one wallet size.
The background papers are 2 pieces of Winter Wishes named "Very Limited". I really wanted to showcase the designs so I added the Ranger Crystal Stickles and Glossy Accents to the elements in the print, and let dry for 24 hours. More details of that to follow.
With the photos, I matted them using the Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Flurries pattern paper with a 1/8th inch border. Arrangement was tricking due to me not wanting to loose one aspect of this gorgeous Church and its magnificent organs.
Next I pulled out the Layered chipboard embellishments:
And chose the key hole piece and added Ranger Glossy Accents in the key hole for a glossy 3D look. There is a close up on the third picture from the top.
To add the last wallet size photo, I worked with the design of the paper and used my EK Success Retractable Craft Knife to cut out the clothes pin at the left bottom of the page. After matting the photo, I slipped it into place and added more Ranger Glossy Accents to the clothespin to make it look more 3D, as well as the "brad" seen on the papers. This is the sheet itself of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Very Limited pattern paper.
Using my Cricut Explore and the Cricut Cartridge called Blackletter paired with my computer font called Old English. I cut it out with a Charcoal Grey shiny cardstock from the UK. Using Contact sticky paper from the Dollar Tree, I "lifted" the titles from the mat AFTER "weeding" each. I then placed it as I wanted on the layout using EK Success 2 way glue. I like to use the Cricut Tools like the sickle weeder to press down each letter. Doing each title may be easier to do with tweezers but I like it to be straight as when it comes off the Cricut Mat so that's why I do it that way. Also, if you wanted to use Vinyl it would come up onto the Contact Paper easier as well. The color of the paper was the reason I used this particular one.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing this old church with our tour guide pointing out all the different elements. This organ is the largest in Europe with 17,000 pipes!! Unfortunately, we were there in the dead of winter and due to moisture it is not played until May-October. The church dates from 600-1600's and we walked around the outside, we were able to see the huge double doors made of iron with 4 hands in the garden/fountain area. That photo can be seen on my other layout called Ancient Doors. Passau is a very fun city, made of old architecture like this masterpiece and a newer University and a modern multi-storied mall! One of my favorite places with so much to see and do!! There are more layouts to come.

Cricut Easter tin

Here is an Easter Tin made with Brown and Yellow cardstock using the the Cricut cartridge Easter 2010 and scallop circle from their Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge. The cuts were made to match the size of the white tin and sheer ribbons were added to match. The yellow one on top was is loose and just tied to be center of the three eggs which were double popped up and adhered after they were loosely arranged. Small half pearls were glued in the centers of the flowers to add a finishing touch.
Hope each of you celebrates our Easter blessings!! Enjoy!
