My Minds Eye Jubilee Tangerine Picture

Loved this fabulous collection from My Minds Eye Jubliee Tangerine Traveler paper so had to scrap my favorite pic of my hubby and I on our trip!! Framed it too! Now we can look at this all the time! Had to keep embellishments to a minable since it is under glass and flattened! Oh well!!
This was the first time I have welded letters and had them "Handwritten" with my new Cricut Explore.  I tried it with the Cricut Thick pen in silver, blue and then settled on copper.  Hoping to do this more and more because I love the look of the handwriting on everything! This is from the Anna Griffin Soiree Lettering Cartridge by the way.
PaperCrafting Challenge: Magazine Monday #88: My Traveler Paper reminded of the globe/world and instead of string as in the picture I did embroidery with thread and stitched after using my
We R Memory Keeper Sew Easy Stitch piercer tool across the layout. A Maya Road Airplane clip was added with a Glue Dot.
I am adding this layout to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: No rules.

Darcies Shrink A Dink Charm Card

I made this adorable Shrink a Dink charm and thought of it as a wonderful gift for a friend and so finally made a card with it. It says "Enjoy the little things" and has a butterfly and bird layered on top of the base. The white doily,  green, 2 pink ribbons and white lace are from my stash. I fussy cut around the white lace to have a scallop edge to the card.
Challenges are:
                                          1. Color Throwdown: CTD331
Hot pink, light pink, green and kraft!
                                        2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Spring themed products!
                                        3. Red Carpet Studio RCS#91 My Fair Lady-to create a girly layout with lots of layers

My Minds Eye Jubilee Double layout

This is for the February Challenge for 1. Scrap Much?  AND 2. Stuck? Sketches and is a co-challenge for both the sketch and the use of  4 of the colors in the pic. Mine were the maroon, pink, green, and white. The papers again are, My Minds Eye Jubilee Sherbet, "You" and "Enjoy". All supplies are the same except I inked a round doily with the pink ink. Pearls were also added.
                              3. Red Carpet Studio RCS#91 My Fair Lady-to create a girly layout with lots of layers.

My Minds Eye Jubilee Layout

I used the My Minds Eye collection called Jubilee Sherbet You. First I took the sheet of  "You" and added a layer of Imagine Crafts Creative Medium  over The Crafter's Companion Chicken Wire stencil to make my background seem more subtle. See below pic for a close up of that.  I matted each photo with "Enjoy" Sunshine paper, and then inked on the edge with Colorbox Chalk: Cat's Eye® Orchid Pastel. The Ribbon is from my stash and may be May Arts Ribbon.  Flowers are from Prima. Doily from the Dollar Tree.  I created this layout for the following Challenges:  (To access their websites, just hit their names and it will take you right to them).

Surfacez® Embellished Frame

This project is made using the Clearsnap ColorBox Surfacez® Refills: Black, Caribbean, Safari, Berry and Pansy. I painted a wooden frame and then combined the colors to make the turquois color on the 1" mirrored squares. After letting both dry, I added the yellow color called Safari to the edges. The small decorative mosaic pieces in clear were arranged to bring a dramatic affect, and then I painted the squashed floral marble pieces a mixture of the colors to bring a marbleized look. Tools I used as not to get in on myself were the ColorBox® Color Blender, and Stylus Handle with tip.
Challenges I have enter this in:

Papercrafing Challenge Magazine Monday #87-for the circles within squares, multiple geographic shapes throughout. Lots of black.

Valentines Card

For this card I used the DCWV Candy Cane Lane stack again with its red glitter chevron print, and black and white pattern papers. Love using up my scraps after doing a layout. I have had to post again due to not being able to link it to Red Carpet Studio Challenge with the layout. Hope you don't mind.
The heart was cut on my Cricut Explore using the heart image #M33DAA from the Storybook cartridge. This cartridge is one of the most versatile and has fonts as well as tons of images that are very useful.
Here are the challenges it is used for:
Red Carpet Studios Casa Blanca-Using Black, White and one other color.

Harry Potter Layout for Scrap Much? Blog Challenge

This fabulous layout sketch is from Scrap Much? blog and is so fun! These pics are of Universal's Harry Potters Hogwarts. I used tulle for the background which added to the mystery of the tall spheres and gorgeous landscaping.  I inked thick burlap twine with black ink, and added Recollections textured flowers.  The papers are from Creative Imaginations for Harry Potter and I fussy cut out the owl, then backed him with black paper and put him right back where I had cut him out but popped it up for dimension. The border punch with the sharp edges is from Creative Memories and was a friend's suggestion. Thanks, Brenda! I threaded charcoal ribbon through and added Prima bling on top.  Glad to use these photos because I was trying to figure out what to do with the layout and Scrap Much?'s sketch was perfect! Am off to do some more work now, so hope you enjoy it!
